  This was my first time in this office. It is almost unbelievable that a federal employee could be gainfully employed like Renee is. But, this definitely happened, and I want this to be common knowledge to everyone that has the unfortunate experience of working with Renee at the Caldwell, ID Social Security Office. I get called up to the desk by a lady named Renee. I start explaining why I was there to her and sorting through numerous papers I have from Military Service. Renee rudely interrupts me and says "So what can I do for you?! Social Security Card, What?" I respond, "I'm explaining that, can I finish?" she snaps at me (unsure of what she said) and I then ask "Is this how you treat everyone? Let me talk to your supervisor." Renee yells for Kevin. The whole office can hear her yelling. I thought Kevin was a supervisor. No, Kevin is an armed security guard who works the front desk. When Kevin gets to the desk, Renee says, 'He needs to go, I don't like the way he is talking to me." I respond, "I didn't do anything wrong". I then ask for her name then tell Kevin that I will go on my own. I make a comment saying "This is unacceptable" and Renee snaps back with, "Well its unacceptable the way you're talking to me". I am escorted out of a federal building with everyone looking at me like I am some sort of psycho. I did absolutely nothing wrong. So this is where I lose understanding. I didn't raise my voice, I didn't use profanity, I didn't show aggressive body language, nothing. Why would I treat people bad who are supposed to help me? I don't, and that isn't the way I handle business. I am a veteran who just finished 6 years with the Army. I am absolutely appalled that the Social Security Administration gainfully employs people, like Renee, who treat America's service members this way. Or, anyone for that matter. People who come to the Social Security Office for assistance (For a new card, for verification, for questions or to apply for benefits) doesn't make anyone less of a human being and doesn't entitle Renee to any special treatment or privileges. I believe that all people are entitled to a certain amount of respect. As long as Renee is employed by the Social Security Administration, this doesn't foster a healthy organizational climate for people to go to, who should feel safe to use this agency and depends on them for help. I made sure to come back and speak with the head of the agency in Caldwell.

  So they close on Wednesday ay 12pm. But apparently what that really means is they will only help you until 11a.m.. After that they are "preparing" for the end of the day. Wish my job was like that! "I'm off at 5pm..but really only work until 4pm" ...
